Massimo Mocio is the Deputy Chief of IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division and Head of Global Banking and Markets of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, in charge of Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Structured Finance and Principal Investments.
From 2018 to 2020, he was the General Manager of Banca IMI, the former Investment Bank of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group which was then merged into the parent company. He worked for Banca IMI from 2008 where he held increasingly senior roles from Head of Finance & Investments to Head of Global Markets and Investment Banking.
From 2002 to 2008 he worked in Milan for the Intesa Group in the Corporate & Investment Banking Division and Banca Caboto where he was Head of Global Markets Trading in charge of Risk across asset classes.
He previously held senior roles in trading and risk management at Banca Commerciale Italiana – London Branch and at Istituto Bancario Sanpaolo di Torino.
He is Chairman of Assiom Forex (the Financial Markets Association in Italy), Member of the Board of AFME (Association for Financial Markets in Europe) and Member of the Advisory Committee of Euronext Borsa Italiana. Previously, he was Member of the Board of Directors of Borsa Italiana S.p.A., of MTS S.p.A. and Board Member of ICMA.Massimo Mocio graduated magna cum laude with an M.Sc. in Economics & Social Science (DES Degree) from “Università L. Bocconi” in Milan and obtained the “Investment Management Program” degree at the London Business School.
